    HotSyncing in a Multi-User Setting

Top  Previous  Next

If multiple Palm users will be HotSyncing their data to a single time record database, you must use the One-way Data Transfer HotSync action for time records.  This is necessary because when many users are syncing with the same file, Time Logger can't adequately track which records have been added or modified since the last HotSync.  You'll probably find that this is the best option anyway, since most users will not want all the other users' records on their handheld.  For more on this, see One-way Data Transfer.

We also recommend that in this environment, you set the default HotSync action for descriptors to "Do Nothing."
