If you need to move Time Logger on your Vista computer, please use these directions.
NOTE: If you have User Account Control turned on, then the Macros feature will not work with Time Logger if you have installed Time Logger to the default C:\Program Files\Timelog folder. You will need to follow these directions to move Time Logger to a different folder and then the Macros should function correctly. To determine if you have User Account Control turned on, follow these steps: (You will need Administrator privileges)
START->Control Panel->User Accounts->Turn User Account Control or or off
If "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" is checked, then UAC is ON.
IMPORTANT: Do not change the UAC setting. Changing UAC will "break" Time Logger. If UAC is changed, and Time Logger breaks, do not panic. Time Logger can easily be fixed once key files are copied to their correct folder. Please contact technical support.
NOTE: To determine where Time Logger is installed, find the Main Directory in the Advanced/Diagnostics window.
![]() Select and Copy the Timelog folder
NOTE: If you do not see the menu "File, Edit, View, etc.", select Organize->Layout->Menu Bar.
![]() FIRST, check the checkbox. SECOND, click on Copy and Replace.
NOTE: When you run the installer over an existing Time Logger folder, your data will not be overwritten and you should not have to re-enter your Registration Code.
To re-install the Palm Interface, you must first select to have it installed during the setup process (when you run setuptimelogger.exe check the box on the "Select Components" screen) and then click:
START->Program Files->Responsive Time Logger->Install Time Logger to the Handheld
NOTE: If your Time Records database file is not in the folder where Time Logger is installed, you will need to copy that file also (see: Diagnostics Window to determine where your time records database file is located on your old computer). Additionally, when you first start Time Logger on your new computer, you might need to specify where your Time Records database file is located and open it.
TIP: To make two Time Records database files the same (synchronized), and effectively transfer Time Records between two time records database files (which could be on different computers that are connected somehow), use File->Synchronize Databases.
